Methodology

Methodology (METH), the journal of the European Association of Methodology, fosters interdisciplinary exchange in behavioral and social sciences research methods. It publishes accessible content on data analysis, research methodology, and psychometrics, bridging theory and application across disciplines.

METH is the official organ of the European Association of Methodology (EAM), a union of methodologists working in different areas of the social and behavioral sciences (e.g., psychology, sociology, economics, educational and political sciences).

The journal’s scope encompasses three core disciplines: data analysis, research methodology, and psychometrics. METH publishes new methodological approaches, review articles, software information, and instructional papers for teaching purposes. The articles published in the journal are not only accessible to methodologists but also to more applied researchers in different disciplines.

METH is the successor of the two journals Metodologia de las Ciencias del Comportamiento and Methods of Psychological Research-Online (MPR-Online) and was published by Hogrefe before switching to PsychOpen GOLD in 2020.
